On the acceptance page under messages, it says they have not received FAFSA. Does everyone have this, or is it just me? I know for a fact I listed Berkeley as a school on my fafsa form.

Please help me??

Me too! I know for sure I listed Berkeley on my FAFSA 2 months ago and it’s not showing up. Maybe it’s a processing error?

I also have the same message, and I just emailed the financial aid office. Hope we all get lots of money from Berkeley so we can decide already :D!

how do you find it? i clicked on the linked they provided us…and it ask for us to login again, with a “passphrase?”

yeah i submitted mine and i have that on my page too!

Does anybody know who I should specifically contact regarding this?

I have the same problem. Answers, please! Anybody?

I think something like this happened to my son last year. There should be a contact for financial aid on one of your pages. My son’s was a Rubidoux I think. There will be an email address with that contact. Email that person. Put incoming freshman, your name and ID number, and FAFSA question in the subject line. Write your email. This person responded to me/my son within a day. Hope this helps.

I found her email address… rdubois@berkeley.edu

The same thing happened to me. On FAFSA, UC Berkeley is definitely listed as a school I sent my FAFSA too, with the same SSN and everything…

Thanks momfirst3 for the tip, I’ll try that to see if it works.

I got this issue too and like everyone else here, my FAFSA was submitted in January. I am pretty nervous since the priority deadline is over and that UCB might not consider my FAFSA…

I’ll be calling them tomorrow, but does anyone know if they will will count your FAFSA as on time if they find out it’s their fault?

Thanks everyone <3!

Well, I guess it’s because we haven’t submit the SIR yet…(just my guess). My UCLA one also said they can’t verify my FAFSA due to not submitting the SIR.

Anyone who submitted a SIR and still get the issue?

Me too. UCLA got my FAFSA and even had an estimate financial aid offer for me.

Anyone find anything out about this?

Similar problem here!

I got a reply yesterday, and the problem was the different spellings of my name. my FAFSA was under one spelling while my UC app was under a different foreign name, so that might be case for you guys too :)

When I found out I was accepted to Berkeley, I checked my financial aid account, but it was blank, and just had (0) for Messages and Required Documents. After emailing the undergraduate financial aid office, they said that they were missing my FAFSA!

They suggested to me that I call them between 10-3 to check what is wrong, and to provide some information so they can identify my FAFSA.

I also have the same problem as dodosteve (hello, again!!) with my UCLA account!

Although I live in Tokyo, I’m going to stay up tonight and call them! I’d like to know my financial aid package soon so I can make a decision.

Edit: I’ll post anything that might help you guys here, after I call them!

I called them last night…staying up until 2:00AM here in Tokyo to call their office precisely at 10:00AM! :D

It turns out that this problem happened to quite a few incoming freshmen this year.
There is something about the FAFSA that did not connect with the information that UC Berkeley had about you, so your application and the FAFSA that you submitted did not connect.

Through email correspondence, it turned out that I was to tell them my SSN, Birthdate, and UC Berkeley ID Number when I call their office, so they can make sure the FAFSA they received is really mine.

I’m not 100% sure about what this is all about either, and I am quite exhausted from getting only 3 hours of sleep last night, but if you do this, you can see your financial aid package in 3-5 business days!

Good luck.

Thanks!! I guess I’ll need to call soon.

For me, the problem being my Citizenship and registration at the selective service cannot be confirmed…

I feel it’s natural, since I was naturalized last yr, the SSA may not update my citizenship status. But I remembered that I did sign up for the selective service :(((((
