I have to decide between going to UC Berkeley and UC Davis. I got in the College of Natural Resources (planning on doing Environmental Science major) in Berkeley and Environmental Science & Management in Davis.
Financially, I am getting grants and scholarships that pay for tuition + books + supplies + other fees and all I would have to pay is housing.

Wow congrats! I don’t know much about the specific majors and how each college fair on what you want to be, but I say UC Berkeley. One of the top schools and in a great location.

unless UC Berkeley is substantially more expensive, i say pick it over David. That being said, Davis is the largest UC in terms of size (it’s like 5x the size of UCLA; it even has its own airport wt-f?)

Environmental Sciences at Cal is awesome! If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me. (and make sure to take ES10 in the fall if you decide on coming here!) :D

I think at this point, you want to look at the environments that both institutions are located within. Davis is rural. Berkeley is urban. Do you want a slower pace of life with more of an agricultural bent? Or do you want the fast pace life that’s only a twenty minute BART ride to San Francisco?

Both institutions are fine. My recommendation is to select the institution that you’ll be compatible with. Visit both schools, get a feel for them, try to get to know the environment’s personality and characteristics, and I think it will come naturally from there.
