Berkeley or LA?

I've been lurking around other topics hoping to find a similar thread, but alas, I think I'll just make my own.

I was accepted to both UC Berkeley and UCLA and I'm having trouble deciding which would be better for me.

I really want to get into the film/television business, and I don't quite care about whether or not this falls under production or post-production (I got into Dodge College as well, but it's too expensive). However, I'm not so sure how successful this is going to turn out, so I'm thinking about having a dual-major with Computer Science and Media or Film Studies.

At both Berkeley and LA, I was accepted into the College of Letters and Sciences, but with the latter, as an English major, so I'm not sure how easily I can change it. I read that Berkeley lets its L&S students take the computer science course. I'm not sure LA does this. Would it be difficult to get into Computer Science?

I'm doing an overnight program at both schools, but I don't see Berkeley until the 19th, and I'm getting worried about housing and the whole first come first serve idea. Would it really be that bad to wait a little longer before sending in the intent to register?

I suppose my two main questions are: LA or Berkeley, and Are dorms really that crappy if I wait until a week before the May 1st deadline?
