I was considering Berkeley as one of my top choices for next fall if I got in. I plan on applying to law school after college. However, I found data that makes me a little more apprehensive about attending Cal. The prelaw data on the site shows that Berkeley grads are consistently held to a much higher standard when it comes to gpa and lsat scores, compared to other undergraduate schools' prelaw stats and the average gpa and lsat at each law school class. Not only that, I have heard that Cal has a repuation for grade deflation. So not only do Cal students work harder than your average student for the same gpa, their grades are not as valued as much. What's going on here?
