Hello, so I SIR'd Berkeley last week and I found out that Cal requires me to submit my High School transcripts while UCLA doesn't. Does anyone know why? I mean, I didn't use any of the high school courses to fulfill any course work at college.. Also I heard that we can use "Docufide" to submit our high school transcript.. Does anyone know how? :( Can we request Docufide to send our transcript directly to Cal?

Please help!
Thank you!

I spoke to my admissions officer about this as I had the same concern as you. They only need it, so they can list you as a “high school graduate”.

She said, otherwise it is OK too, but they will list on your documents that you are a “non high school graduate”. They don’t require it as proof of completion for anything.

Oh, and I’m not sure what Docufide is. I did not attend High School in California (and it was more than 10 years ago  ).

@Victor555: Thank you so much! So you’re saying that we do not necessarily have to submit our high school transcripts if we don’t want to? They will just list us as “non-high school graduate” right?

Is there any reason you want to withhold your high school transcript to Cal? Docufide will send it to them no prob. As for me, I went the CHSPE route a decade ago so I’m wondering if I have to send in my transcripts or just my certificate of completion from the state.

@silenthillnight: Oh, I took the CHSPE as well! It says that if we took the CHSPE, we need to send the certificate as well as our high school transcripts. So we can request Docufide to send it directly to Cal right?

yea, Docufide should have most major universities in their system so it’s as easy as just selecting UC Berkeley and clicking confirm.

Docufide is actually really easy to use–I use it since it’s the only way I can get my high school transcripts. After you put down what high school you went to, you click on “request transcript”, and then it leads you to a page where you select the destination. Type in the name of your university, hit “search”, and then your university will come up, and Docufide lists how they will deliver the transcript (meaning whether they’d deliver by mail or electronically). Then you just pay the fee and that’s it.

berkely did you graduate from a high school? if not, then you don’t send your transcript. they don’t want incomplete transcripts. my brother didn’t graduate from HS and instead he got his GED and he he didnt send his. im not really sure what he sent instead but im sure he sent his GED paper.
