Berkeley is not lax about the deadline. Make sure that you get it in before the ten days. I called and they said you are giving ten days and they expect in ten days.

out of curiosity, what questions did the 13-question questionnaire ask?

I wonder if the questionnaire actually means anything for me since i was told that i would be receiving it in Novemeber????

darn you ca residents.... darn you!!!!!!!!... i envy you guys so much..... CA EDUCATION SYSTEM IS SOO EASY.... darn it NY EDUCATION SYSTEM IS SO HARD...you guys dont to regents anymore though we still have to do it.... thats bogus... NY is one of the highest paying tax state and has one of the best and hardest education system... *** DONT WE EVER GET SOME LENIANCE?

....
What?

what do you mean what? CA EDUCATION SYSTEM IS MUCH EASIER THAN NY EDUCATION SYSTEM...EVERYONE KNOWS THAT....... THATS WHY FOR CA RESIDENTS HAVING A HIGH GPA IS EASIER THAN FOR US NY RESIDENTS

Ahh, lay off the CAPS please.

AN:

do you have any statistics to support your pov?

What about the mean SAT scores by state?

NY (v/m) - 496/510

Calif: (v/m) - 499/519

Please note that Calif has a much higher % of english language learners....

Ok can we get back to the questionnaire...so does anybody think they can take a guess on what the questionnaire actually means for me??

...You already know what it means for you. It means you're borderlining and they want to have additional information by which to assess your application in its entirety. If you kicked butt in your essay and have a nice rec, then all you can do now is sit back, relax, and wait for decisions to come because it's out of your hands now.

bestmiler, how can u be so sure the NY system is better than CA's public school system? for one thing, you've never been in a CA public school before (i'm assuming), so you have no right to judge this, even though there may be statistics that show it-and stats are often flawed. you cannot just say the NY system is better than the CA system-that's basically saying that us CA students are not as educated as NY students. that can't be proved at all. even i can't judge the NY school system, as i've never been a part of it. IMO school is what you make of it, regardless of location. you have no basis for judgment regarding the CA public school system..unless if you have been to one. i guarantee you won't find schools in CA like monta vista, mission san jose, gunn, etc. that easy at all.

What is the proof of your evidence?

And I Will Use As Much As Cap As I Please... So Lay Off

i'm just saying..you can't say anything about how the CA school system sucks if you've never actually enrolled in a CA public school. that's all.

I really dont know if it means anything for me if i was TOLD THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A QUESTIONNAIRE in novemeber

I have family who studied in private schools in Ca and moved to NY and studied here... they had told me the diffence in difficulty level between the education level in the two states.... but then again thats few people's opinion..... so i guess i see your point

My sincerest apologies, caliplaya03. I don't follow the details of everyone, so my response was based upon a simple question posed.
Next time I'll dig up all the pertinent information before forming my answer.

BestMiler1 (and for that matter, infamy), how can anyone judge the education system of a STATE simply by having attended one school in the state (or worse, having family members' words for it)? Best, are you judging the public school systems of both states based upon your family having attended private school in CA and then having moved to NY?

I'm glad you acknowledge that it is simply a "few people's opinion."

BestMiler, what college did your "family" attend? It can be like some crappy one like Chapman or something and they ended up in like NYU or something. YOu can't judge state school by judging the privates. Privates have different things that you have to look into than public schools.
