Berkeley Social Sciences/Humanities vs. Sciences?

<p>Berkeley is one of three undergraduate institutions (other than Harvard and Stanfurd, and arguably Michigan and UCLA) that has significant strength in both sciences and social sciences. </p>

<p>Interdisciplinary strength is the key to becoming an insightful world leader when it comes to the new digital era, where boundaries are increasing becoming blurred. </p>

<p>Now while some may argue that Berkeley’s undergraduate sciences are stronger than Harvard, or that Berkeley is more conducive to cutting edge undergraduate research than Stanfurd, the fact remains that…</p>

<p>Berkeley English majors are some of the most interesting people around. I dunno why, but freals, they are very very cool and interesting people. I dunno what Berkeley feeds them, but its damm good.</p>

<p>So how do you feel about Berkeley "American Studies" students?</p>

<p>hey west side, i don't know if you read my comment a while ago, but the mods really look down upon changing your name and coming back with a different one. In the CC guidelines it says you can get banned. They definately did that over the summer a few times. Just a word of caution.</p>

<p>Cal is one of few universities that actually offers a major in rhetoric (CSU San Bernardino offers one too).</p>

<p>And of course their poli sci program is awesome.</p>
