If you’ve applied to Berkeley, please post your stats so we get a general idea of the caliber of our CC applicants. Thanks.

i'm 80% sure i'm not getting in (rejected from ucla and ucsd, and the ucsd admissions rep told me i don't have a chance), i'm in the bottom rung of applicants here, but nevertheless, we can all dream right?

A UC 4.0 GPA and 1400 SAT is probably the average UCB applicant.

Um average admit is 1340...probably gonna be around 1350 this year

This is probably a stupid question but how does UC's calculate GPA?

thekidd search around there are a couple other threads dedicated to uc gpa... but in a nutshell, you basically take your core classes from 10th-12th and honors/ap extra points are capped at 8 semesters. the UC web site says which courses can be used for gpa calculating.

And average GPA is 4.2, so it balances. There will be a lot of unhappily surprised UCB candidates this year unfortunately. When you look at LA and SD, it's bad.

prophasi, I mentioned that site because he was askign about CC kids applying there

Hmm I got a 1410 and 800IIC 780Chem but a abysmal 540Writing (cause i came here from a taiwanese public school my freshman year)
4.05 weighted. 9 APs total.......etc

Just curious, what are my chances of getting into Cal (considering around 90 people from my school get in each year)

I already got my UCSD letter so i'm not really that concerned anymore.

I'm pretty sure I won't get in as I've already been rejected by UCLA and MIT, but here are my stats.

Some of you are pretty poor liars.

UCLA and Berkeley dont cap GPAs. There are usually 10 applicants to Berkeley with perfect 5.00 GPA's (every single class is an AP) and 1600's.
