Can anyone tell me about this? What can I expect? I looked on the website and found the following info, hopefully someone can fill in the rest that has experience with them?

-$700-900/month shared room utilities included
-free food stocking in full kitchen including requests
-dinner every night
-4-5/hr/week cooking/cleaning responsibilities

My questions:
-how far is it from campus?
-is it located near BART?
-how many people live in a house?
-how many people per bathroom?
-do they have activities?
-is there management staff?
-how diverse are the ages of the people that live there?
-if you're over 21, can you have a glass of wine with dinner?
-are people respectful noise wise?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Oh, also is there anything else I should know that I haven’t asked about?

Did you look at the website at all? the answer to most of those questions is…it depends on the house (size, noise level, pot use, distance from campus, bathroom number).

[Our Co-ops](http://berkeleystudentcooperative.org/our-co-ops)

Each house has their own managers (students also living there) and there’s a central staff too (who co-ordinate food service, payments, placement, etc.).

Usually most residents are student-aged…some places are reserved for graduate students.

The apartments have maybe ~8hrs of workshift.
Also dinner service varies - at my house, we have dinner everyday except Sat. Wine/alcohol isn’t uncommon at all.

Sorry, tried to answer this quickly…need sleep. You should try to visit a couple you’re interested in, and don’t expect them to be as clean as the dorms (hehe). We’re just a bunch of students trying to run houses…often not a pretty result.

“if you’re over 21, can you have a glass of wine with dinner?”

lol

@lolololol

Well in the dorms you can’t which is why I ask. I’m not a huge party drinker, but I do enjoy a drink or two.

Can’t or the regulations forbid you to? Might be two different things.

Not allowed lol! But I’m 24, I dont want to sneak around and hide my wine like a 15 year old stealing liquer from the parent’s cabinet lol
