Berkeley Transfer Admit Day

Google search has turned up May 9, 2009 as Berkeley's transfer admit day, but I see nothing about it on myBerkeleyApp. Does anyone have any more info on this?

When the admissions people called me to tell me about my acceptance they told me that there was a transfer admit day on the 9th. May 9th is the day, it’s just not on the Berkeley app checklist because it is really just an optional thing that isn’t really important.

Can I just show up May 9?

I can’t find anything about it online. I was really out of it when they called so I just said I have no questions, thanked them, and hung up.

O.K., I got it.

You have to RSVP on myBerkeleyapplication. Just go to My CALendar on the right side of the page and click the link. Then go to may 9th, and click the reception link. Then it will take you to a page where you can RSVP.

Anyone wanna meet up for this? :P

I"m going to the LA so cal reception on the 12th, anyone going?

i just got an email about this, actually:

Dear Ryan,

On behalf of the Admissions staff, please accept my congratulations on your admission to UC Berkeley, the premier public university in our country and the world!

Ryan, I want you to picture yourself at Berkeley: strolling through Sather Gate on your way to an exciting class, rooting for the Bears at football games, joining clubs, and making lifelong friends.

A good way for you to start your life at Cal is by coming to the Chancellor’s Reception on Saturday, May 9, from 1-3 pm in Wheeler Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. You’ll hear remarks from Chancellor Birgeneau, meet current students, and have the opportunity to direct any questions you might have to Berkeley staff members.

You can RSVP via myBerkeleyApplication. Just log in, go to the “myEvents” tab and follow the links. Don’t forget to check myBerkeleyApp for other campus-related information, including how you can submit your Intent to Register.

Again, congratulations, Ryan, and welcome to our Golden Bear family!
