<p>I am going to UCSD, however I wish I would have applied to Berk... I am just realizing it is my dream school :(</p>

<p>If it makes you feel any better, I wish I would have applied to UCSD, it is my dream school! I thought my GPA and pre reqs wouldn’t be competitive enough, but now I realize after seeing all the admits they I probably could have got in. Yes Berkeley is an amazing school, but I guarantee you will like UCSD. I lived in San Diego, La Jolla, the last two years and would always study with friends at the library on campus and I love the school, my boyfriend and roommate went there and the classes are exceptional, the location is beautiful, great campus, great library, and the education you will get there you wont regret…Berkley is obviously a great school, if you really would rather go there, reapply next year, but I would do anything to have applied to UCSD</p>

<p>but i would go there for a different major like english, history or communication. i didnt realize this until i visited my friend that goes there now and i absolutely loved it. its somewhere new as opposed to ucsd, i know people there already and i studied at geisel on the weekends because the library at cc was closed due to budget cuts. another reason id wanna go there is to meet other people other than san diegans. ive lived in SD my whole life.

<p>UCSD doesn’t accept students with over 90 transferable semester units. I have 92.</p>

<p>if your units are all from community college there is no such thing as too many units.</p>
<p>i was accepted to UCSD and i will have 149.5 units done after this semester.</p>

<p>I did quite a bit of soul searching in my time at community college, but at least I am 100% positive I’m in the right major for me now, just took me a while to find it =]</p>
<p>How politically active is UCSD? anyone know? I know berkely has a rep for being pretty active.</p>
