Berkeley v Northwestern

I know this comparison has been done before but im looked for some new input. Ive been going back and forward for a week and its the last day and im still not decided.

I'm undecided for both but i'm probably gonna do something related to sciences but im really undecided. When I went to the Northwestern campus the weather was great I loved it but now I'm reconsidering. I from around Cal kind of below San Francisco.

As for financial aid Cal comes out being about 13,000 dollars a year and Northwestern ended up being 24,000 dollars a year. This could also fluctuate up for berkeley or down for northwestern in the following years, so I don't want to base my decision completely on finances.

Please help me I have less than 6 hours to decide!

If you have the money, I’m a big fan of going away to school. Unless your major is Eng or Chem, choose NU.

i read your other posts: any colleges does the basic sciences well. NU has a highly ranked med school – they have to know what they are doing!

I guess we can agree to disagree, on the value of a private college. Advising at all UC’s is beyond poor, for example…

^ by that token, you would rather go to Hiram College over the College of William and Mary, would you?

^ Exactly.

And advising could sometimes be irritating…

I had that experience before that’s why I’m not overvaluing that.
