Bump.

Scores, both GPA and tests, are low for both of the Ivy schools mention as well as CAL. So, I would consider those three schools a mid-reach for you.

bump

All of them out of reaches due to GPA.

I disagree with the previous posters. I think your extracurriculars, especially the pending patent and the nonprofit, will give you a huge boost! You’re a very strong candidate for all of your schools.

Please chance me back!

Also, are you Korean? If so, your username is too cute! ^_^

Transferring to a top 20 school is tough - you have a good GPA at a reputable school. I would apply and see what happens. Its pretty difficult to predict.

Thanks everyone! I applied to these schools last year and I actually got into Vanderbilt and was waitlisted to Georgetown and Brown. I am taking these chances with a grain of salt!

Also, please note that these are for transfer admissions. For admit stats for specific colleges and transfer admissions are strikingly different at a lot of these schools. I.e. vanderbilt accepts around 12% for freshmen admits but hovered at around 30% ish last year. Also, college GPAs are different than HS GPAs in many ways. I have a 3.78 due to getting pretty much a “straight A” - they were just A-s.

Also for berkeley, I’m a California resident.

Oh, I thought the applicant was a HS senior. My bad. I must have skimmed too much.

I think you have quite a good chance, but transferring is far from easy. Good luck.

Bump
