<p>Well, actually, for most undergrads, I don't know how relevant this really is. After all, let's face it, most undergrads don't end up pursuing whatever they majored in as a career. After all, how many history majors actually end up becoming professional historians? How many poli-sci majors actually end up becoming professional political scientists? If you're not actually going to end up in a career that has to do with your major anyway, then, frankly, what does it matter how strong the department is? </p>
<p>What seems to be far more important is whether the school will be able to get you the job or the grad school (if that's what you desire) of your choice.</p>
