I got into Berkeley College of Chemistry and was wait listed at Penn.
If my wait list offer comes through which is a better option for:
1- Chemistry as a major
2- Pre Med concentration

Berkeley’s chemistry program is one of the best in the world. It’s a smaller program within the College of Chemistry, which is quite unique compared to other science programs.
Both Berkeley and Penn will be fine academically. For pre-med you’ll need top grades and a top MCAT score. Go where you’ll feel most comfortable. I don’t think Penn is small enough to give you a huge amount more care and feeding over Berkeley, especially since you’re in CoC.
Are you in-state for Berkeley? Costs would be a huge factor.
you’re very unlikely to get into penn off the waitlist - so this is a not a scenario worth visiting. that said, penn in a heartbeat
