Berkeley vs Tulane vs Michigan

I have been accepted to these three schools and currently I need help deciding between them. I am interested in studying business, but I am open to other studies. With regard to these three schools how are their undergraduate business programs? Do they open doors to internships, etc. I am also factoring in quality of college experience: weather, social life, professors. Feel free to give me your insight and I appreciate it

My D was accepted 2 years ago to Tulane and UMich and UCLA; rejected at Berkeley, She chose Michigan and loves it. Had she gotten into Cal, she might have gone there, but her choice ultimately came down to UCLA or Mich. Within an hour of being on campus, she knew she wanted to be a wolverine. She has an internship near Paris this summer at the business school there.

I am not a Business major, but the Berkeley undergrad Business major is very highly regarded. Unfortunately, the business major at Berkeley is also capped so even though you are accepted at Berkeley, you may not necessarily get into to the business school. By numbers, I think 1/2 of everyone who apply to become a business major get in. Is being a business major really important to you? Could you see yourself going into another major (like econ or operational research and management systems?) if you do not get in?

That said, graduating with a Bachelors of Science (yes, for some reason you get a bachelors of science and not a bachelors of arts in business at Berkeley) tends to lead to very good jobs and Berkeley has a large number of business clubs, fraternities and events that give you some really good business experience.

I would check out some websites of the business clubs and maybe emailing people to ask for their experience. They will be much better informed and I’m sure will be happy to share their experiences.

@zjodak The Haas School of Business is definitely a prestigious school, like Ross. And your point about admission to the school is valid. I am worried that I may not be accepted to Haas. However, if I am not accepted to Haas, I believe that I could choose another major in which I would be successful in. I do plan on participating in either business clubs or a fraternity so I can develop networks. Also how is Berkeley’s greek system? (this question is open to anyone) I hope to rush next year, but I am out of state, so will this affect anything? Thanks for the links, I will definitely check them out.
