Should I go to Berkeley or UPenn for engineering?
I need to know which one has better benefits in the long run.

UPenn had an engineering program? Call me ignorant, but when I read engineering textbooks and read the reference section, I have never seen any professor or who had a MS or PhD from UPenn.

UPenn is an excellent university, obviously, but their engineering program is not as good as Berkeley’s. Cal is the better engineering school.

Berkeley’s engineering program is one of the best in the world. UPenn, although has the ivy league name, doesn’t even compare to Berkeley. It’s engineering program is decent at best.

UPenn’s engineering program is not as strong as Berkeley’s. UPenn does have a better name (as it is an Ivy League) and is a private school, meaning you will have more private attention and more comfortable living conditions. If those are priorities for you, then choose UPenn. If you want a better education and (probably) an easier time finding a job, I think that Berkeley would be the better choice.

Penn has a stronger Biomedical Engineering compared to Berk’s. But if you are doing anything else, Berk all the way
