Should I go to Berkeley or UPenn for engineering?
I need to know which one has better benefits in the long run.

Hey, I had a similar choice between Princeton and UCB. I chose Princeton because, while Berkeley is a great engineering school, Princeton is no slouch either. Also, being OOS, Princeton had more value for me.
I think you have to consider similar aspects. Weigh whether Penns liberal arts superiority(and slightly lower engineering) is enough to tip the scale away from Berkeleys amazing engineering and weaker overall offering. Personally, if Penn was top 20 for engineering I would definitely attend; if not, I’d forego Penn for Berkeley.

If you’re a CA resident, Berkeley might be a better place. Engineering schools require a lot of investment in labs, so state universities with a lot of students have an edge over small private schools. So, in terms of ranking, Penn is even behind Penn State. However, it’s mostly because of the scale (size), not quality. Penn has a great biomedical engineering.
