Berkeley will I get in?

What are my chances of getting into UC- LA or Berkeley

SAT score: 1970

Writing: 660
Reading:640
Maths:680

SAT II
Literature:620
Math II: 630

Full IB Diploma

I had a 3(D) on term in maths

My final predicted grades, however, were 766655
My mid terms were the same.

ECs: Newspaper (editor in chief), drama lead for 3 years, Soccer captain, and Basketball team

What’s a 3(D)?

Well, it sounds like you might get into UCLA/Berkeley. You’re neither an automatic reject nor an automatic acceptance.

What’s your rank?

Are you in-state?

No I’m international which makes things a lot harder.

I’m applying political science which is really competitive to get into as well.

The IB is marked on a 1-7 scale. 7 being the highest.

you could take it like this: 1-fail 2-E 3-D 4- C 5- B 6-A 7- A*

My final predicted grades were actuallt sorry (I just checked)- 776655 = A* A* A A B B

wow im canadian and im thinking i wont get in with 2200 and 3.86 GPA and amazing ECs…
good luck! it definitely helps that you have IB! are you a junior? if so, retake the SAT try to break 2000 or 2100.

this might sound too harsh, but u’re looking at an rejection.

I know. But then again you’re not taking to account my essays which could potentially be brilliant. I know my numbers are extremely mediocre, but then again you never know.

1) Where are you from?
2) You problem is SAT II (and the SAT), they expect more of us internationals.
3) I would say that you have might have a chance if you have a hook

India

yeah i know they’re ****

my essays. I could PM them to you.

born and brought up in England for fourteen year then live in India for 3. My essays talks about that. Much more interesting then it sounds.

Except, in all honesty, CA is filled with Indians, many of who have lived several places. It’s going to be very tough with your grades and scores.
