I'm applying this fall. Major is American Studies.

If I get all A's this semester I can bring my GPA to 3.76 but that's the best case-scenario. Otherwise it'll be around 3.6 (but I'll striving for that 4.0!!)

I don't know anyone who is transferring into this major, originally I wanted Media Studies but since it's CAPPED I said no way. I've got 2/3 pre-reqs done (got A's in both) and doing my last pre-req this fall.

Thanks all, I really wish I didn't get that C last semester which dropped my GPA way down but i have to look forward now!

LOL It does sound like I am lamenting my GPA…

-the know the personal statement is important, so I’m brainstorming some ideas on what would be the best thing for me to write on.

you have a good amount of ECs just pull something out of those! im not sure what the avg admitted gpa was last year but if you get that 4.0 and pull ur gpa up then u have a really good chance. like 65-70%

Yeah, seriously grade trends really -do- matter. I had a 3.57 going into my fall semester 2009. I got a 4.0 in 18 units that fall, and I ended up being admitted into every school that I applied to as a Psych major << which is quite impacted. At the end of the fall, I had a 3.76 GPA. That little jump makes a big difference.
