Bio major? general best education?

cornell is sicknasty at bio

Bio is one of those subjects that’s taught relatively well at most universities, especially the ones you mentioned. I’d choose based on fit rather than academic strength for this one.

BME at JHU is best, dont know if you are doing that.

I’d say def skip WUSTL. But go with Berkley, JHU or Cornell. Cornell is in the middle of nowhere. JHU is in a nice small city. Berkley is in CA. You should base it on that and fit. Not prestige. They are all top nothc

ok thanks! yea i am not doing BME, basically starting in bio but am not positive so could change my major at any time. also looking for security that whatever science i change to, i am in good shape at my college.

btw, why skip WUSTL?

WUSTL is known for its bio program.

Yea I’ve also heard Baltimore described as “quaint”, “homey”, and “peaceful”.

I’ve also heard it described as “tough” and “dangerous”, which might be a consideration given where crime rates will be in another year or two.

As for other sciences, Cornell offers fantastic undergraduate experiences in Chemistry, Physics, Applied Engineering, and the environmental sciences. Much more intimate atmosphere then say, Berkeley. But cost might need to be a consideration.

i’ve heard someone say that it’s tougher to change majors at berkeley…

at cornell there are plenty of science majors with similar 1st/2nd year courses…
