Hi. I'm really nervous cause I just completed and sent my UC application. Berkeley is my absolute dream school, and though a lot of my peers tell me I'm probably in, I need to hear from a few outside resources, 'cause I don't know if they're just trying to be nice.
The UCs I'd want to go to are Cal, UCLA, UCSD, and maybe Davis or Santa Barbara.

My stats:
*CA Resident

*1420 SAT I - 710 math, 710 verbal
SAT IIs: 750 Writing, 720 Math IIC, 760 Chem
ACT: 33.
*Took AP Chem, Bio, Physics B, English Language, Calc AB. one 5, three 4s, one 3 on the AP tests. Currently taking 4 APs.
*4.05 overall GPA. This is what really kills me.
our school doesn't do ranks but I'm sure I'm in top 25%.

Really strong ECs and community service- not worried about this part.
but hardly any leadership. =/
My essay is strong.

What are my chances at:
Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
Davis
Santa Barbara

I think you are in! Again, my scores suck and I don't know much about college admissions but my friend had about the same stats as you--although, higher SAT math, IIC, and chem scores-- and he got into UCB and UCLA's engineering school. He opted for engineering. But, I think you got Cal! I really WANT your writing and chem scores....

i hope my essay did that for me :-/ and my ECs aren't too conventional...I work at a youth crisis hotline, play in a ton of classical music ensembles, and i dive competitively.

Two other people from my school last year: Asian dude...Varsity Basketball...NHS...really smart....same, maybe lower numbers...
Chick...liberal...into writing...not very involved...I am pretty sure her numbers were lower

Sry that I don't have more info and that everything I said is useless for comparison.

I know a kid from last year that got into Berkeley with very low stats compared to you. I have no clue how he got in, except for his high GPA. SATs: 1200 SAT IIs: all 500s. NO ECs at all, some volunteer work, but a high school gpa of 4.4 or so. He was also in the ELC program. I'm also hoping for CAL (I've lower stats than you lol)

horrible. community college if you can manage to fill out the application correctly, which i doubt. Dont apply to CAL; you increase my competition.
