<p>Its a funny concept to think about a moderator on this board watching over not just the tone, but the context, and the singular definition of words you type, on the internet of all places. Feels like some sort of fascist word Nazi is watching us, making sure we don’t deviate from his/her defined etymology of good words, or words that can be said justly. That’s a lot of authority for someone who hides behind the word “moderator” an argument in itself. They actually think they are needed here to keep the peace, or protect members from non-propriety. The real liars are the moderators. What kind of sick nihilistic freak seeks to perverse the mode of raw value in discourse? Who benefits from this censorship? And who is affected really? What sort of effect does someones narrow definition of a word, say ■■■■■ *<strong><em>, have on the expression of that word? Its still a word! ■■■■■ *</em></strong> is not a single experience that everyone abides by when they hear the word ■■■■■ *<strong><em>. To some people it means completely different things, neither good nor bad, with no affect to the hearer. It could mean wiping your ass, or howling at the moon. It could mean ejaculating on an underage Greek statue, or raping the naked pig slice on the end of a fork with your teeth for all they know, the last two of which sound worse the saying ■■■■■ *</em></strong>, but are accepted here on this board. These rules are banal and arbitrary, and I move we ban censorship on this board. All censorship. This isn’t Disneyland, or NBC; It’s the internet, a college message board on the internet no less.</p>

<p>The moderators are attempting to create a positive, friendly and welcoming environment for people of all ages and walks of life. From a philosophical viewpoint, I see where you’re coming from. From a legal viewpoint, of course, College Confidential has the right to delete, censor or edit whatever they so desire. And from a business viewpoint, College Confidential wants to attract as many people (customers) as possible by minimizing possibly-offensive content. So any said move to “ban censorship” would of course not work. 
This isn’t a public institution… Save all that fun stuff for until after you transfer to a UC! haha :)</p>
<p>Okay, I’ll settle with a movement toward banning Mikei. He is corrupting and perverting our message board. His words are quite distasteful in the most deplorable sense. Just devoid of all human decency. Completely depraved of all decorated forms of dialog. His words are simply obscene, and I find it difficult anyone can stand the perniciousness of his writing. Immoral, if you ask me. Just lacking all compliance with the oldest and purest form of writing. The only writing that matters, agreed upon by all sentient, thinking begins, is that which can be read by all. Mikei disregards this basic fundamental principle put in place by the greatest of all authors, the readers. There is no privileged authority that you possess that allows you to ignore the laws of order. Ban Mikei and his radical ways.</p>
