Berkeley's pre-med?

but…I also scored a 2350 on my SAT without studying…so I’m not that untalented. thanks for the advice, though. I guess I’ll see how I’ll do my first semester when I transfer.

Again, could someone tell me how upper division courses differ from lower?

They differ in their order of taking them (lower first, higher later) and (theoretically) in their difficulty.

Lower division courses tend to be larger courses that focus on broad topics within any particular subject. Upper division courses usually have fewer students and focus on a (sometimes much moreso) narrow range of topics (or sometimes just one very specific topic).

thank you for the replies.

i understand why you wouldn’t believe me. i have my reasons for attending cc that are personal. i’m going to stop posting here, because I’m kind of offended.

sorry for hijacking the thread, OP.

I don’t think that anyone has caught this, but taking all of your pre-med classes at a community college is a bad idea.

^^ yes.

And good points BDM, haha. I lol’d.

So, would that offically make Berkeley a good school for premed? If you work hard, can you succeed in berkeley as a pre-med student and go to medical school?

No. It is definitely possible to attend Berkeley and then medical school. Hard work is one of the necessary components.

It’s not Stanford, but still a solid choice.

Way to totally come off as an elitist. You revived a six day old thread for no other reason than to waggle your school at people.
