My daughter was accepted to Berklee for Fall of 2022. She is not a partier at all and it was suggested she apply for the Substance Free LLC (living learning community). That dorm is at 270 Commonwealth. Have any of your kids lived there and if so, what has their experience been?
We are from Florida and it’s hard for me to imagine the weather shock she will experience when she is required to walk 1/2 mile to her classes and or rehearsals when the temperatures are freezing. I also cannot imagine she will walk to 160 to eat if she doesn’t live close by- and especially in really cold weather.
If anyone can please educate me further I would sincerely appreciate it!

I would say have your daughter apply to 150 or 160. They are closer. My daughter was not a partier and lived in 150 it was fine. She found a roommate and they decided together. 270 Commonwealth’s is lovely but a little bit of a walk.

Can’t offer much information, but curious about the Conservatory dorms in particular (the brownstones). All seem to be in great neighborhoods in a compact area, with plenty to do and plenty places to eat and potentially work.
