Oh I forgot to mention Human Geo. So I heard Pyschology and Human geo are easy to self study, but are they easy enough to self study and get a 5 by May? (Crap I have only 5 months!)

If so, what are the books that are good to self study?

In Addition, I'm also doing WHAP this year via class but I have a bad teacher, I have both PR and Barrons, but what websites and whatnot can help me prepare?

Any other courses that are good for the beginning self studier?

Also, how do you guys discipline yourselves to study without getting distracted?

Barrons for both Human Geography and Psych is really good.

YOu should be fine. I'm taking Human Geography and I'm not doing anything in that class. We're so behind and my notes are really crappy. Basically, I'm going to study during spring break because I'm pretty positive we're not going to get done. Plus, I haven't even learned anything this year..I just cram for the test the night before. So you're probably not that behind :) Just lots of memorization of terms but a lot of it is common sense stuff

I'm going to self study Env Sci myself and I havn't started just yet but will start soon. I might study HUG over spring break as well (depends on if I want to take AP Psych or not even though I'm taking the CC course- if someone would answer my friggin question in the forum about whether to take AP Psych or not then I'll know).

I'm taking APUSH the class at my high school and that's it, and I'm taking APUSGOV online and will be taking AP World online as well. I'll finish up those classes before spring break and thus will self study for the other two (env sci for sure, and either psych or hug) as well so I can get AP Schol with distinction. All this plus CC Psych, HS and extracurriculars.

I'll be okay, I just need to work my ass off.

I've heard both AP Environmental Science and AP Human Geography are the easiest AP Exams ever, so they are probably both best for self-studying. AP Human Geography is best studied with Barron's. AP Environmental Science has some overlap with AP Bio, so that's nice if you plan to take it later.

thank you! the problem is that I checked the universities I'm interested in and well.... none of them even take AP Human Geography as credit... and the 2 that do, well they only count as electives.... :( the same thing applies to envo sci as well except a few more colleges accept it, but only as electives

is it worth $86 for an AP test that doesnt count for anything or elective credits at best?

I think so. Else you will have to take it in college, where it will probably cost more than the $86. Besides, you can say you self-studied AP's to look better on your app.

AP Environmental Science really IS that easy. Studying for 2 days isn't really even necessary. I took 2 hours to study it the night before and I got a 5.

khoitrinh:
really?! wow. congrats! um. can i ask you something? so did you take environmental science before? like just a regular class? i flipped through the barrons book and it is dense!
