what is Jhu known for besides medical stuff, if i am interested in politics/international relations/pre-law is this a good option for me???

hopkins has one of the best international relations programs

You should really read through old threads on College Confidential and on the JHU Forums (http://apply.jhu.edu/forums/). You will see that JHU is much, much more than just medicine.

We have top programs in:
International Studies
Public Health (both social and natural sciences)
Writing Seminars (creative writing)
Languages and Cultural Studies programs
History of Art
Environmental Engineering
Political Science
Physics (esp. Astrophysics programs)

...and those are just the ones off the top of my head on a Monday morning.

Yes, the name Johns Hopkins University is synonymous with achievements in medicine, but that does not mean we are limited to just those programs. That is one of the great misconceptions of the undergraduate experience at Hopkins.

hmm...i suppose ill have to look into jhu some more!! :)
