What do you think the SAT and GPA range is of students applying to the college of Arts and scineces…? Do you think the acceptance rate to the college hovers around 40% ED…? I want to do Arts and Sciences personally and I am curious if applying ED gives me an edge…? Thanks

ED to the college I believe is 34%. RD is roughly half that. My guess (from what I've read) is that the avg applicant applying to Penn has about a 3.8 UW & 1400 (2100) SAT.

enn says its ED rate to any of the colleges is 34%. So, wouldnt you assume that Wharton (toughest school) makes the overall ED rate a bit lower than 34%? I would presume that the College is a bit higher. In exaggeration, for example, I am presuming that perhaps the Wharton School has a 25% ED rate and the college of arts and sciences has maybe a 40% ED rate...

...Take another example such as NYU and its business school, Stern, which makes it acceptance rate a low 30%

what about the avg. SAT and GPA as well as acceptance percentages for SEAS early decision.

well im guessing im making that up... I want to know from someone who knows CAS ED RATE!!

other ideas..?

sooooooooooooooo guys?

halo? respekt?

Duke...the college's ED acceptance rate is in fact in the low 30's...you're correct to say that Wharton's is lower than that but you fail to account for the school of engineering and the school of nursing's higher rates

got it. I am pondering between Duke or Penn ED

other opinions?

Class of 2009 Early Decision Statistics

· There were 3,420 total applications in this year's EDP pool, a new record high. Penn admitted 1,169 of these (34.2%).

· The average combined SAT score for students admitted during EDP is 1413 (694V + 719M).

Legacies:
· There were 523 legacy applicants in the EDP pool, down 5.8% from last years 555. 254 of these students were admitted (48.6%).

· The Alumni Council on Admissions has completed a total of 708 interviews of legacy applicants from June 2004 thru December 2004. With Regular Decision and Transfer candidates still coming in, we anticipate finishing the '04-'05 admissions cycle with more than 750 interviews.

other thoughts

i love how people correlate acceptance rate with how hard it is to get into the school. (i love how people correlate stats numbers .... into the school). there's the ucla/chicago example.
