What are th best 3/2 engineering programs in the East and South? How are AP policies at programs?

That would be very difficult to answer because it’s not clear that any students have actually done the 3/2 programs at most schools. Transfering for senior year and paying for five years of college to get a degree are wildly unpopular in the real world beyond the pages of the admissions brochure.

If you want engineering, go to a school that offers engineering. If you want to combine Engineering with broader liberal arts education, go to one of the LACs or universities with an accredited BS in Engineering degree as a major in the context of a liberal arts education.

What I am actually interested in is the availability of using AP credits to shorten the first three years at a small LAC and have the chance to attend a good engineering program and graduate with two degrees in less than four years.

The Emory-Georgia Tech program is the only one that I know of. It seems like it might meet your needs. [Emory College | Current Students | Special Degrees: Pre-Engineering Curriculum: Dual-Degree Program](<a href=“Error 404: Page Not Found”>Error 404: Page Not Found)
