<p>If I recall we have had that law before the Patriot Act...and duh if we told them that the police were watching them we could never catch them! That kind of thinking is what the terrorists support and why a Democrat is not president right now.</p>

<p>the law to which I am referring to is the one where librarians arent allowed to tell you that the books you check out could be monitored by the government. This isnt a standard eavesdropping or a warrant to seize documents(which must be signed by a judge) Rather, the patriot act allows the agency to create an "administrative warrant" thus bypassing the judicial system.</p>
<p>I think that is a slippery slope because it leads to the creation of secret police that are not beholden to the courts. Heck, even before the patriot act the government could refuse to release information for matters of national security.</p>

<p>I currently own a non-profit business which is in effect in the US and Canada :) I can go on and on of my other priorities, but i dont want to overewhelm you:) lol</p>
