<p>UCLA is a good bet, there’s a nice balance of what you’re looking for here.</p>
<p>Academically, UCB and UCLA are the highest ranked UCs, with UCB being ranked as the best undergraduate public university. UCSD is next academically after those two.</p>
<p>as for the party scene, UCLA and UCSB are known for their college parties (especially UCSB), not sure about the rest. UCSD has a beautiful campus and has a beautiful city surrounding it.</p>
<p>EDIT: I’m a UCLA freshman btw, so I’m fairly biased, but my descriptions are pretty much accurate, =].</p>
<p>Academic AND partying? UCLA and UCSB hands down. </p>
<p>UCSB you can walk to the beach from campus!</p>
