Could someone please help me? I am a high school senior who is looking for some really decent all-around colleges. Mostly I am looking for a school with a good Chemical Engineering program mixed with a good Asian Studies/Japanese program. I can get into about any school with my standings, save Ivy League. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm running out of time, and I'm stumped.

Here's some information to give you all a good idea of where I stand.

SAT I: 2120 Math- 740; Verbal- 710; Writing- 700
ACT: 33 (with writing)
SAT II: Math IIC: 750; Chem: 700; U.S. Hist: 710

I've got decent ECs and pretty decent essays and letters...Please help.

The schools below all have top 10 Engineering programs along with excellent overall academics and great campus atmospheres.

Stanford University (big reach)
University of California-Berkeley (reach)
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (match)
University of Texas-Austin (match)
University of Wisconsin-Madison (safety)

Brown, Case Western, Cornell, Lehigh, Northwestern, Rice, Tufts, UC Berkeley, UCLA, University of Florida, Universityof Michigan, University of Washington, University of Texas-Austin, Wash U (St. Louis)

how is it there are still people who don't have any clue whatsoever where they are going to apply? seems like everyone else is finishing up their apps...

No one can give you a good list of schools without knowing something about your financial situation. Do you need merit money? Will you qualify for plenty of financial aid (not afraid of loans?)? Or is money no object? Lists like Carnegie Mellon, Cal Tech., MIT, Penn, Duke, etc. only work if you qualify for aid (and don't mind loans) or if money is no object at all.

And, yeah, it's getting late. Get your list together! Good luck.

Have you thought about Bucknell? Good Chem Engineering- and , I just read another post mentioning an outstanding Asian studies program .........FYI
