Best Alumni Networking?

all I'm saying is that just because it's not in your face, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

by the way I stroll down Bruinwalk everyday... i know the pride of this school. I have 3 sweaters...just because i don't wear it everyday doesn't mean i don't wear it at all.

Who ever said it didn't exist?! I even just said in my last post that it did. I even posted links showing its existence!

wharton has a similar alumni network structure as USC (where you can search for alum willing to help new grads, etc.) - except with more qualified & successful alums. :)

sigh

... and people wonder why Peals makes a thread "Why does everyone hate USC?"

hehehe...

hey you're not alone. I feel like I'm attending a third-rate school sometime. well only when i on this site.

regardless. I love my school, you love yours. My school is better, yours suck.

i've haven't changed your perception, and you most certainly haven't changed mine.

let's call it a day and pick up a cold beer... i know i could use one.

We practice grammar here though :)

Yes, I'm going to go grab a a Stella...

btw I was just kidding around...oh and themegastud I like you, you like my beer of choice - Stella...good choice.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Wellesley! They've got one of the best networks around.

... and graceless. Often even more stupid because your grammar is atrocious.

"My school is better, yours suck."

Look, butterfish, you really are the classic example of the Bruin that all the Trojans hate. You never want to acknowledge ANYTHING good about USC. You will CONTEST to the end anything good said about USC. You will always flaunt the "superiority" of UCLA, when, in the end, as you said yourself, you always feel as if "it's a third rate school" anyway. Whoopee.

Megastud, myself and many other USC students on this site DO NOT DERIDE UCLA. We can say it's somewhat overrated, that some of its programs are definitely not tops, and that some of its programs are lesser than USC's. But I don't see any Trojans saying straight-out that UCLA just sucks. Only you and a few other Bruins seem to enjoy doing so.

No one is saying USC is the best school on earth. But it is almost always sneering Bruins who will say it is the worst school on earth. Do they make all freshman students take a "How to be a Graceless A**wipe 101" class out in Westwood, or something? I've always wondered.

Butterfish: are you as much of an offensive loser in real life as you are on CC?

I partly agree with you. I am disgusted by that kind of mentality.

Butterfish, you can not make your school better by wishing others' worse!

No one is saying it doesn't exist.

Also take a look at Alumni Giving Rates, as there is a strong correlation between Alumni Networking and Alumni Giving.

USC Alumni Giving Rank = #16
UCLA Alumni Giving Rank = #92

Nice link, really gives insight.

wow...i do admire your pride.

fight on trojans

"wow...i do admire your pride.

fight on trojans"

It doesn't matter if butterfish meant this sarcastically. If taken literally, it is the most brilliant thing he or she has ever written on this thread and quite possibly on this entire messageboard. It is even possible to be the last brilliant thing she or he writes, too.

I never thought there would ever be any reason to ever write this, but "Bravo, butterfish."

"I love my school, you love yours. My school is better, yours suck."

i'm disapointed you guys didn't see the slight sarcasm in this. you need to loosen up. not everything can be take this seriously.

and thanks for the insult.

this is just for everyone in general, but could you guys please have a little more class when arguing. if someone tries to put down a certain school, you don't have to put that person down, but rather just formulate arguments that are relevant to defend the claims. i think that'll make CC a bit more friendly and less hostile, cuz regardless of who initiated the put down, there's always someone else who wants to defend their school AND put down that person in return at the same time. i'd appreciate if you just defended the school and be more classy. thanks.

p.s. don't get all defensive about how you were being the classy one and the other person was not.

What you just did is also to put other people down, and ask them not to defend. What a hypocrisy:)

Fairly speaking, butterfish put himself down, and put UCLA down. Don't you think so?

alwaysthere,
my post was originally intended for at least two people, but since i didnt want to point them out, i just made it in general. but i'd personally like CC to be a little bit more friendly, that's all, or at least lay off the ad hominems.

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!

How do I start a new thread?
