I’m a civil engineering major and for my curriculum I have to take a math elective outside of my normal Calc 1-3 and DiffEq. I have the option of taking Numerical Analysis, Stats Methods, and Linear Algebra. Has anyone taken these courses have a suggestion on which is easiest or most helpful for an engineer? I enjoy straight forward math problems and don’t really like proofs or series. I know very little about these classes and if anyone has taken these classes, even an explanation about them would be good.
Easiest and most helpful are rarely complementary concepts. I’d honestly say you ought to be taking all three, or at least the last two. They would all be helpful.
