best and worst study songs?

what are some songs that helped you stay awake during those last-minute study sessions the night before a test?

and what about those songs that are a nightmare to listen to?

Bruce Springsteen’s The River and Born in the U.S.A. are two albums full of energetic songs that are great for keeping you awake and for listening while doing anything, as long as you’re not easily distracted by the the awesomeness of him and the E Street Band.

Nirvana’s Nevermind is also a great album for helping me to focus.

I like This Is War and other 30STM songs are good for me.

Requiem for a Dream (or is it just called Requiem). And sometimes dubsteppy songs and Lana Del Rey. I can’t study with top 40 stuff on.

Imagine Dragons. Great stuff.

Trance for sure. I discovered a lot of good songs on Pandora

I find Imagine Dragons a bit boring for last minute studying.
Action movie soundtrack are good though.

Worst motivating song
“School’s out” - Alice Cooper

Related to school and music…
[Lone Michael (In Annenberg) - YouTube](<a href=“Lone Michael (In Annenberg) - YouTube”>Lone Michael (In Annenberg) - YouTube)

All great.
I’ll make a man out of you- Mulan
Symphony no. 9- Dvorak
Four seasons- Vivaldi

I listened to Fall Out Boy’s new album, Save Rock and Roll, at least 10 times on repeat while studying for APs. It helped me stay awake mainly because I kept on singing along at times xD but during the actual AP test, I kept on singing along in my head so maybe it wasn’t the best idea…

Anything chill or classy and gets me in the mood to actually want to know the stuff. Classical music, vampire weekend, stuff like that.

Royksopp - What Else Is There?

For me it works really well, but I don’t know how it would for others

The worst I’ve tried so far was Shakira. It just wasn’t right for panic revision.

Worst for me - anything with words. I can’t help but get distracted.
I’ve gotten through Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the entire Swan Lake symphony so far, and they’ve been great.

Moya by Godspeed You! Black Emperor or their Antenna album

Best

Exposition, by Takenobu
(First song) [Exposition | Takenobu](Exposition | Takenobu)

classical puts me to sleep so quickly

Sufjan Stevens and Nirvana are my favorites for when I’m writing and want to feel inspired/not fall asleep (although Sufjan’s music is very relaxing)

Just any songs with words for me is awful when studying or trying to catch onto a recent lesson. I prefer quiet time for those two components. But I do like music when I’m doing homework. I remember one time I tried classical music for studying/reading… I almost knocked out within 10 minutes. lol
