So i am taking: AP u.s. history, AP statistics, AP psychology and regular environmental science ( since there is no AP class for it).
Do you recommend any types of books to get for these classes?

For Ap Psychology I heard that Barron’s, Princeston Review, and REA Crash Course is good. It depends on how you study. Barron’s is very comprehensive and most reccomended. I also reccomend getting the flashcards that come with them. Princeston Review is easier to understand. REA Crash Course I hear is also a good book that has certain lists at the back for easy studying.

I’m not sure about the others but you could look at this:

It has book suggestions and reviews by CC’ers who have taken the Ap test and used the books!

thank you! :)

I recommend self studying AP environmental science since the exam’s really easy; any major prep book is good for that. Other than that, I don’t think you need books for AP stats and psych since you are in the class and those are easy AP tests. US History, I recommend REA.

It’s still good to get a prep book just in case the teacher isn’t sufficient. You have to prepare for the worst. Even if you are in a class, the prep books are good to supplement it. By the way, unless you’re really good at memorizing, Ap Psychology isn’t easy.

My son’s AP Psych teacher told the class to get the prep book, 5 steps to a 5 for AP Psych.

I’m also taking APUSH and AP Stats (can’t say anything about AP Psych or Enviro). I have both PR and 5 Steps for APUSH and both seem good to me. However, I’ve heard excellent things about REA and AMSCO, so I might check those out. I’ve also heard that Barron’s is the best for Stats.
