Best AP Calculus AB book?

do you have any recommendations?
barrons, kaplan, REA, princeton review etc

It definitely is not the right choice for test prep, but I’m currently self studying from Gilbert Strang’s excellent text, which is available from MIT for free here. I have learned so much that wasn’t in the standard AB curriculum…

thanks
how about for test prep

I cramed with PR and got a 5, don’t know how the others are.

honestly I didn’t use a book at all and got a 5 on BC lol. I found that the best thing to do was to download practice free responses from college board. Also, my teacher was able to get several old full length AP tests with answers, so maybe you can talk to your teacher about that?
