Best AP Chem Strat

I have taken Honors Chem. I have Zumdahl Chem and PR's AP Chem. I have approx. 2 3/4 month to study for the AP Test. I would be satisfied with a 4, but am willing to work for a 5. Study plan/Suggestions?

Uh, not sure what you want us to go here with this.

Read and make sure you know everything before the AP test?

That’s really all there is to it. Common sense.

you’re gonna have to work ur *** off

I actually recommend Kaplan’s AP Chemistry. That one’s more comprehensive than Princeton Review.

I agree with GoldShadow. The plan is really quite obvious. Learn the material; take the test. AP Chem is one of those subjects where it’s really beneficial to do labs, which you can’t get from just reading.

can any people who have self-studied it give me some advice?

bizumpskyy

unless you really like chemistry, I would not use zumdahl for actual studying. I heard that PR was pretty good (I personally used barrons as a prep book last year). If you are comfortable with the quantitative analysis in honors chem, you shouldn’t have too much trouble. You can probably learn topics such as equilibrium, acid-base, kinetics, electrochem, and thermodynamics immediately before covering the more theory based topics such as detailed states of matter and lewis structures.

For the FR, you should expect an equilibrium question, a lab question, a chemical reactions question, a lewis structure question, electrochem, or thermo.

Yes .
