Best APUSH book!!!

I already have the AMSCO book from school. What’s the next best book? Please help! Thanks.

Barron’s, Princeton Review, 5 Steps to a 5, REA Crash Course, etc.

Do you mean a review book, or a text book?

@Debater - obviously a review book, judging from the examples he gave. But if you’re looking for a textbook, OP, American Pageant should be decent. It’s what everyone I know seems to be using.

I was going to say that if you wanted a textbook, the American Pageant is the way to go.

I never had a review book for APUSH, but I’ve heard people speak highly of 5 Steps to a 5.

For a textbook, use either Give Me Liberty! by Eric Foner (which my class used) or, what the majority uses, the American Pageant.

Review book, I’d say your AMSCO book is fine for thorough review of material, but for concise yet good reviews and practice tests, go with Princeton Review.

I scoured the web for reviews and ended up deciding to buy The Insider’s Complete Guide to APUSH: The Essential Content and Crash Course, both by Larry Krieger. I told my son to use the first book chapter by chapter before every test; and to use both books, but especially the latter book, right before the AP Exam. My son got an A in the class and a 5 on the exam.
