Are there any preferences of banks for students here? Or any recommended bank? Just wondering since I need to open up a new account. Not at bank of america preferably.

Preference is particular to each person. There is a Wells Fargo branch on campus so that makes things accessible for students. Chase is next to Albertsons on Campus Drive. There are sufficient ATMs on campus for the major banks.

Chase or Wells Fargo.

Preferable chase. Theres an ATM at the student center and a bank, which is a 10 minute walk away from campus and close to albertsons, if you live in ME that is. :)

When I visited UCI several times, EVERYONE was using Chase. Some were using Wells Fargo and no one was using Bank of America. I’m using Chase so yea

Why does no one use bank of america?

On the contrary, there are actually more students that use BofA from my 2 years experience here at UCI. There are always lines at the BofA ATM’s, even if there are 2 ATM’s while there are almost never any significant lines for the other ATM’s.

I use BofA, and I’ve no complaints whatsoever. I’ve had few issues where there were fraudulent purchases on my credit card, but the situations were handled well by BofA.

Nothing wrong with BofA… their customer service and fraud detection is awesome from my experience. I don’t have accounts with WF or Chase, so I can’t say for those.

Thanks guys. Think imma start looking more into Wells Fargo and Chase now.

Wells Fargo has been good about hiring UCI students and grads.

And like 20 minutes from Mesa!
