Best book for AP US Gov,Comp. Gov, & Human Geography?

That sticky thread is way too long now.

I'm taking a class for AP US Gov ,but self studying for AP Comp. Gov & Human Geography.

What are the best books?

I want a 5 on each of these.

There’s way too many threads on CC about this but…but since I’m going to be taking the same classes next year I’m going with:

U.S. Gov - I’m using Princeton Review and the textbook we use in class.
Comp. Gov - EVERYONE says that the Ethel Woods Study Guide is solid for Comp. Gov.
Human Geo - Here I’m going to be using Barrons, and any other book that I can find in my Library, but the AP Human Geo exam supposedly has the highest curve so I’m not going to sweat this one.

Hope that helps. Come May of 2010 Five should be your favorite number. =)

For AP AmGov, I found Barron’s to be extremely helpful- I definitely ended up feeling “overprepared”.

For AP US Gov. if you’re looking for a textbook, my class used [LexDex | Studying 2.0](http://www.lexdex.com/book/american-government-essentials) this one. It’s a good textbook and then for studying, I used the Barron’s AP US G/P book. They both work well. Best of luck!

Ethel Woods–> EVERYONE on CC uses it…it’s an excellent book

Kaplan is actually really good for Human Geo and US Gov. However, Barron’s might work better for you on Human Geo since it seems like the popular book to use.

My recommendation is Barron’s. But for US history use Princeton Review thats very helpful.
