i need an idea about which study guide to get for both of these classes.

i want the book that would definitely help in getting me a 5 if i read it from cover to cover as i am a reading type of person.

however i dont want something incredibly long and boring with too much information. i got barrons for ap world and i wasn't a fan due to the superfluous information.

i was thinking princeton for us but i dont know for sure

AMSCO for apush has a lot of info but if you know it by heart it’s an easy 5. Crash Course should also be purchased as it’s about 1/3rd the size of AMSCO and a very good review.

For lang get Cliffs. It’s quite a thick book but that’s because there are 6 practice tests in there. Most of the material is short and there are a lot of concise outlines and examples. Practice makes perfect for language!

I have to agree with Anomaly (with the exception of buying Crash Course):

APUSH: YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO BUY AMSCO. If anything, that book will save you countless hours reading a tedious book issued by your school, will serve you well when it comes to taking tests in class, and will help you on the AP and SAT II exams. As for Crash Course, it wasn’t as great as I had expected it to be. It was concise, but not accurate when it came to what it said would be on the test. But then again, I think CB found out about the book, read it, and decided that it would be best to alter both the USH AP and SAT II exams, in order to maintain the integrity of the tests.

AP Lang: You should get Cliffs. Its a really quick read with lots of practice tests. I did a few of the practice questions, and I think that it was sufficiently enough for me because I had limited time to prepare for the test.
