I"m going to take sat biology in october,
and i'm currently studying with "Princeton Review Cracking the SAT2 biology." But is there a better book to study with?

(also any comment on effective way of studying and get good scores for SAT II biology?"

Princeton Review is good. In a few days I'll see how much it helped me. What I did was I typed notes from the book, which helped me to remember the info pretty well. Also, do the practice tests from Princeton Review, McGraw Hill, and the book Real SAT Subject Tests. A lot of the questions on the actual test mimic those from past tests and the tests in PR and McGraw Hill.

I am studying to take the SAT II Biology in october and on top of buying the PR book I also bought flashcards at Barnes and Noble that are made by Sparknotes and seem like a really good way to review. Its also decently priced ($9.95) for 600 notecards.

I used Barrons, which went into a lot of detail (some of it was unnecessary), and it explained everything pretty well. It's hard to get through Barrons, though; it's not user-friendly at all. I also coupled it with the CliffNotes book for AP Bio.

CliffNotes provided the big picture while Barrons provided the explanations. I also read through my entire bio textbook, but that was -totally- unnecessary.
