Best book for the SAT

I would like to know wich book is better for the SAT : Princeton review or Barron's...
I want to buy one of these books and I already went to Barnes and Noble to compare the books and in the Princeton review, there are too much guessing advices, don't you think ?

Actually, I thought Kaplan had a really good book.

I didn’t look at Kaplan , tomorrow I will go and look at it maybe it’s better than the others…

omg, kaplan is terrible…
do your research on this forum before posting threads like this jeez. this question has been answers a billion times.

I know that I searched but I didn’t find answers about Barron’s…

I liked Princeton Review.

Math? Grubers.
Critical Reading vocabulary? Direct Hits.
Writing? Here, possibly, in one of those well-known threads by Xiggi, Silverturtle, or whoever.

I have a few Barron books. I don’t have much to comment on because I haven’t really used them enough to know whether they suck or not. However, jumping into a random section and trying to complete the problems really kicked my butt.

Math- Gruber’s
CR- Direct Hits+Rocket Review+BB
WR- spark notes+BB

CR - Kaplan’s. (Surprisingly. I have exhausted everything else so I’ve taken this as my last)… and Wiktionary. Of course, I wouldn’t memorize the whole dictionary, but I’d look at some secondary meanings of words newly learnt. I second DH… Pwnage. and I bet others would third, fourth, fifth, and n-th those books.
W - Silverturtle’s/Sparknotes/Grammatix/Rocket Review/Wikipedia. (Wikipedia, again, is only for checking some concepts that I have some problems with recalling)
M - Gruber’s/PR/Barron’s Pick whichever you like. Math is just practice. And taking pains.

If you have limited budget, just buy the BB and exhaust it.

Grubers is way too overrated for math…the concepts are the only useful part but those concepts can be found in Barron’s or PR too.

A combination of Barron’s & the College Board’s book.
Barron’s-difficult, over-prepares you, challenging CR sections in particular, good practice tests
College Board-good overview, accurate practice tests (like the real thing)

I bought the Barron’s one, and maybe next week the gruber’s, it looked really good for mathematics…
