Any suggestions?

I know a couple of the popular websites (fastweb...), but what are the best books out there that helped you win merit scholarships?

Thanks.

The best merit scholarships are awarded by the colleges. All merit scholarships are based on academic excellence as defined by the scholarship itself.

The best way to “win” a scholarship is to get tippy top GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Then apply to colleges that have guaranteed stats based on YOUR stats (see stickie thread above).

Regardless…the best way to win a scholarship is to have those top stats.

There is a terrific book “Paying for College Without Going Broke”. It’s not about scholarships but is worth the read.

This site and colleges’ sites.

I meant private merit scholarships not just school merit scholarships. Ex: coca cola

General google searches using different phrases helped me find scholarships to apply for. The best scholarships to look for a ones where not as many people are applying, so you have a better chance of getting them. Look for local scholarships, like ones only for students from your school or county, or scholarships created by local foundations.
