<p>YOU won’t be able to borrow much without a qualified co-signer, so you’ll need to consider affordable schools. Besides, it’s not a good idea to borrow much.</p>

<p>If you’re under 24, you can borrow $7500 per year as a rising junior in college.</p>
<p>Since you’re low income, and a NY resident, a NY SUNY or CUNY will likely be your affordable choice.</p>
