I'm looking for a university, public or private, that offers a great foreign relations/studies major, possibly with a minor in language or something along those lines.

The schools I am applying to right now include UCSD, UCB, Pitzer, Pepperdine, Stanford, and USC, but I'm open-minded to change.

Thanks for any and all help!

A better school than Pitzer for International Relations would be Claremont McKenna College, also a part of the Claremont Consortium of colleges. CMC has faculty who are former senior researchers for the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. It is a competitive college, and would require strong academic GPA and SAT test scores to gain admission, but it is a top school for International Relations. Your chances for admission will depend on your academic numbers and EC's.

Thanks! I've never considered CMC, but I definitely will now.

Well, if you really want to get into IR it would be better to go on the East Coast because that is where ALL the internships are. You can get just as of an education for IR in Cali, but the people who go to school in DC and NY have a HUGE step up on the competition when it comes to internships and jobs. Stanford might be the only exception to this. UCB and UCSD don't even offer IR as a major btw. UCD is the only UC that does I believe. They do offer foreign studies though, which is different than IR.
