Best Calculator For High School, Sats, Ap Tests, And College?

Does Anyone Know?
T1-89?

i like the 84 up to calc 1
then id 86 the 84 and 89 it

Hmmm, well I guess it's all a matter of preference really, because I personally believe that nothing can beat my TI-83 Plus, but then again I've had it for six years so it's kind of hard to turn my back on it, but seriously, it's worked fine on the SAT's, SAT II's, AP Calc AB, AP Chemistry, and so much more, but perhaps I'm just a bit nostalgic for good memories [wow - nerd alert ;)] but yeah that's my recommendation.

I love the 89. I've had both the 83 and the 89, and wouldn't go back ever. It's a lot handier and easier to use after you get used to it. The downside is, you can't use the 89 on the ACT, so I borrowed my bro's for it.

The 89 is probably best if you know how to use it, but it's significantly different from the 83, which I think is what most high schools use/prefer.

im guessing that the 83 plus is preferred for high school, but the 89 would be good for the tests. my school requires the 83 plus for AP calc, but im sure an 89 would be great.

i'd say TI89, though ACT doesn't allow it. It's extremely useful in calculus and scieces when you need accurate numbers in calculating.

Yeah, ACT sucks anyway. Another reason not to take it ;)

84 plus, it's allow in more situations than 89

I love my 84+. I've had my TI89 for like a month now and I still can't figure it out.

My vote goes to the Ti-83+ because it does everything it needs to do and is very easy to use. Sometimes ur not allowed to use the 89 because of its qwerty keyboard.

89 doesn't have a qwerty keyboard.

TI-89 is absolutely amazing for Calc. It can do virtually anything. Calc's all I use it for, though. I use an 83+ for all my other math/science classes because some of the functions on the 89 are annoying for simple calculations.

Get an 89. A few things will not allow it, but these are limited to the ACT and maybe a handful of math team tournaments. Most people don't do tournaments, so that doesn't really matter. For the ACT, borrow another calculator or use pencil and paper. Yes, pencil and paper is possible.

Hi!

What calculator would you choose for SAT Math 2 and then for college (Math and Physics) if money didn’t matter?

TI-Nspire CX CAS
TI-89 Titanium
HP 50g
ClassPad330
PRIZM fx-CG10

Ti-84! It leaves nothing to be desired.
