I was wondering which calculator is best for Pre-Cal?? I don't know which calculator to buy..Should I get the ti-89 tiatnium or the ti-84???

at my school we use ti-86

TI-83+ can be used for absolutely everything (especially in precalc), though titaniums are pretty.

TI-89 titanium
enuff said :P

83+ will serve you for quite a while. I wouldn't recommend an 89...my Calc teacher last year didn't let kids use them on early tests (because of the integral function or something).

as pretty much everyone said, i suggests TI 89. It will help you get use to the commands and such, so you will be prepared for Calc

TI-89 Titanium

I'd definately go with a TI-89 simply because when you're taking calculus next year you're going to need it to do derivatives and such... which TI-83's and 86's can't do. I went through pre-cal with an 86 just fine, but I ended up buying a TI89 Titanium half way through BC Calc and ended up loving it! (I've given my 86 to my sister cause it's just become obsolete... lol)

a $10 TI 30 or something will be more than enough

TI89 helped me, but my Pre-Calc teacher wouldn't allow of it, b/c it's too helpful.

Well all of our tests were 1/2 calculator, 1/2 on your own. :-

I have both Ti-84 plus and ti-89 Titanium. Titanium is much more powerful. Amazing calculator. Even if the teacher doesn't allow you to use the ti-89 you should get it.

Get this calculator if you don't plan on studying advanced mathematics in college otherwise get a TI-89.

Thanks for all the adivce!! I think im going to go head and buy a ti89- Titanium!!!

Get it from eBay, you'll save a load of money, and most of the time the calculators are in perfect condition.

:D

Thanks I just might do that!!

No problem, gotta love eBay ;)

I used the TI-83 and it worked pretty well....
