<p>The South is blessed to have so many excellent colleges with gorgeous campuses. Compared with peer schools in other parts of the country, I think that the Southern schools win in a rout. Probably this has something to do with the warmer weather and the fact that these campuses enjoy more months with pretty scenery, green grass and bright, sunny flowers. Sometimes knowing that spring is not far away can make the winter months a lot more tolerable. </p>
<p>IMO, the following are the most beautiful campuses for National Universities ranked in the USWNR Top 30:</p>
<p>South (6 schools): Duke, Rice, Vanderbilt, U Virginia, U North Carolina, Wake Forest</p>
<p>Midwest (3 schools): Wash U, Northwestern, Notre Dame</p>
<p>West (1 school): Stanford</p>
<p>Northeast (4 schools): Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell</p>
